MORE THAN A COFFEE SHOP

Banjo Coffee started with a simple idea: that coffee should feel approachable & exciting.

Before there was a café, there were farmers’ markets, pop-ups, and a small cold brew operation built out of trial & error, long days, and a desire to do things differently. That approach led us to long-term partnerships with importers and roasters who share our values, including careful sourcing, transparency, and respect for the entire supply chain. Through those relationships, we’ve been able to grow from a mobile coffee concept into a neighborhood café and soon into
Banjo Lounge, our next step forward!

Our mission has stayed consistent through every version of Banjo: create spaces where people feel welcome, serve coffee and beverages with intention, and stay connected to the community around us. At its core, Banjo is still what it has always been: a love for coffee and a reason to bring people together.

FROM BEAN TO BANJO
Cafe Campesino & GA Roasters

A big part of Banjo’s coffee story is shaped by the partners we work with every day, especially Café Campesino and our Georgia Roasters.

Café Campesino has been a pioneer in fair trade, organic coffee sourcing for decades. Their work is rooted in long-standing relationships with coffee farming communities, ensuring ethical practices, transparency, and direct connection from origin to roaster.

Through our partnership with Café Campesino, we’ve had opportunities to learn more about coffee at its source, including visiting coffee-growing communities in Guatemala.

Seeing the process firsthand deepened our understanding of how much care, labor, and collaboration goes into every cup. From harvesting and processing to drying and exporting, coffee is shaped by countless hands before it reaches the café.

These experiences continue to influence how we source, serve, and talk about coffee at Banjo.

Café Campesino is a Georgia-based pioneer in fair trade and organic coffee sourcing.

For decades, Café Campesino has worked directly with coffee-growing cooperatives around the world, building relationships centered around sustainability, transparency, and equitable trade practices.

These partnerships create a stronger connection between farmers, roasters, and cafés like Banjo, allowing us to serve coffee that reflects care at every level of the supply chain.

Through our collaboration with Café Campesino and their network of small-holder farming cooperatives, our coffee is sourced from communities across Africa, Asia, Central America, and South America that prioritize ethical and environmentally responsible growing practices. These partnerships help support fair compensation, community development, cultural preservation, and sustainable farming methods, creating a more connected and equitable coffee supply chain from origin to cup.

SMALL CHOICES MATTER

We try to make thoughtful decisions wherever we can, from sourcing coffee responsibly to choosing more sustainable packaging and service materials. We intentionally use compostable cups and products and continue looking for ways to reduce waste while creating a better café experience.

Sustainability at Banjo is an ongoing process, and we believe small choices add up over time.

At its core, Banjo has always been about connection.

Connection to coffee.
Connection to creativity.
Connection to the people and communities around us.

That mission continues to guide every new chapter ahead.
